NongHyup Bank, in partnership with NongHyup Finance (Cambodia), generously donates to AFESIP Cambodia

NongHyup Bank, headquartered in the Republic of Korea, and NongHyup Finance (Cambodia) Plc, in the presence of NongHyup Bank President & CEO Lee Seok Yong along with the management of both institutions, made a generous donation on August 8, 2023. The kind gift – alongside a $5,000 financial contribution – was made to support AFESIP Cambodia, an organization located in Phnom Penh's Dangkor district. The donation consisted of essential supplies including one tonne of rice, 50 boxes of noodles, 50 boxes of canned fish, 50kg of sugar, 50kg of salt, 30 bottles of cooking oil, 50 boxes of soy sauce, and 50 boxes of fish sauce. At the same time, each of the 155 children under the organization's care received a useful pack containing five books, five pens, five pencils, one eraser, one ruler, one bag, and one water bottle. The donation was made in commemoration of the fifth anniversary of NongHyup Finance (Cambodia) Plc's establishment in the Kingdom.

Materials Contribution to Local Authorities at Kampong Thom Province

On 30 May 2022, NongHyup Finance (Cambodia) Plc contributed some materials to 5 Commune Halls located in Santuk and Baray districts of Kampong Thom. The materials included 75 plastic chairs, 10 rubbish bins, 10 boxes of A4 paper as well as some budget for supporting those communes to serve the public services.

NH Bank, NongHyup Finance Donated to AFESIP Cambodia

NongHyup Bank and NongHyup Finance (Cambodia) Plc last Thursday on 21 April, 2022 jointly donated food, school items and money to AFESIP Cambodia, an NGO focusing on the welfare of victimised women and girls across the Kingdom. The donations – part of the financial institutions’ CSR projects for this year – were given to girls residing at the AFESIP center in Village 24, Prey Sar commune, in Phnom Penh’s Dangkor district. Two tonnes of rice, 200 boxes of instant noodles, 200 boxes of canned fish, 50kg of sugar, 50kg of salt, 50 bottles of cooking oil, 50 boxes of soy sauce and 50 boxes of fish sauce were handed out at a special ceremony. Five computers and $5,000, along with 10,000 face masks and 600 liters of hand sanitiser, were also donated. Each of the 140 girls in the organisation’s care received five books, five pens, five pencils, an eraser, a set of geometry rulers, a bag and a NongHyup Finance water bottle.

Chairs Contribution to Local Authorities at Kandal Province

Stuff and Food Supply Contribution to Client at S’ang District Branch

To contribute and show the care of NH to the clients who met this hard situation, on 04 June 2020, NH also donates some stuff and food supply such as Rice:100 Kg, Canned Fish: 5 cases, Fish Sauce: 2 case, Instant Noodle: 2 cases, Sugar: 5 Kg, Salt: 5 Kg, Soybean oil: 2 bottles, Soy Sauce: 3 bottles and other charity package of USD 100 as well.

School Donation to 287 students at Prey Veng Province

As a part of social activities as well as support the education system at local communities, we also donated school stationeries and some school materials to 287 students at Prey Thom Primary School in Prey Thom village, Kou Khchak commune, Kampong Trabaek distric, Prey Veng province.

Contribution of Materials on Water Festival in Kampot Province

Water Festival is celebrated throughout the country in November each year; and one of the festival’s major activities is boat racing which is organized in Phnom Penh and in some provinces with rivers. In November 2019, the Company distributed 300 caps and 300 T-shirts to the local authorities of Kampong Trach district, Kampot province, to support the boat racing activity in Kampong Trach.

Global workshop program with NH bank

As part of its staff development program, in 2019 the Company sent 10 key staff to the Global Workshop Program of NH Bank in Seoul, the Republic of Korea, for one week. These include Departmental Managers, Assistant to CEO, Provincial Managers, Branch Managers, Chief Credit Officers and Cashier. The Global Workshop Program was organized for international members of NongHyup Financial Group to learn and share.

Annual Staff Assembly 2019

The Company organized a 2-day Annual Staff Assembly from 14 -15 December 2019 at Than Suor Bok Kor Resort, Kampot province. The Assembly was held with the objectives of promoting team building, and holding the staff meeting.

  • For the​ team building, all levels of the Company’s staff joined various team building activities such as playing games, song competition and lucky draw on the first day.
  • For staff meeting, the meeting was held on the second day with several key agendas including welcome remark and encouraging speech by CEO, highlighting 2019 key achievements and setting 2020 priorities, and awards for outstanding staff and employment seniority.
