NongHyup Bank and NongHyup Finance (Cambodia) Plc last Thursday on 21 April, 2022 jointly donated food, school items and money to AFESIP Cambodia, an NGO focusing on the welfare of victimised women and girls across the Kingdom. The donations – part of the financial institutions’ CSR projects for this year – were given to girls residing at the AFESIP center in Village 24, Prey Sar commune, in Phnom Penh’s Dangkor district.
Two tonnes of rice, 200 boxes of instant noodles, 200 boxes of canned fish, 50kg of sugar, 50kg of salt, 50 bottles of cooking oil, 50 boxes of soy sauce and 50 boxes of fish sauce were handed out at a special ceremony. Five computers and $5,000, along with 10,000 face masks and 600 liters of hand sanitiser, were also donated. Each of the 140 girls in the organisation’s care received five books, five pens, five pencils, an eraser, a set of geometry rulers, a bag and a NongHyup Finance water bottle.
